VENTILATED FAÇADES
Natural Stone, widely used in building, takes on aesthetic features that make a strong visual impact when applied to ventilated façades, fully expressing the stylistic language of contemporary architecture.
Balfin Stone specializes in the installation of Natural Stone ventilated facings to clad new buildings and renovate historic city centres, squares, etc. The company has adopted exclusive systems to provide complete, efficient services from consulting to supplying stone materials, down to the final installation of the façades, using appropriate frames from 1 cm. thick with invisible-fix clips or brackets. In particular, it specializes in the processing of slate, a natural, sustainable, eco-friendly material, perhaps the only material that incorporates all the essential features required for use in external cladding:
Water resistance, flexural strength (bending strength), impact resistance, freeze-thaw resistance, thermal shock resistance, fire resistance, resistance to atmospheric agents and pollutants, high durability.

Of all natural materials, slate is the best for roofing and is suitable in both coastal and mountain areas, because of its water resistance, frost-thaw resistance and high resistance to weathering.
Due to its pronounced fissility it is easy to split along cleavage planes into regular thin sheets or slabs, ready for immediate use as a lightweight, resistant, roofing material. The cycle of sheet and slab production is entirely manual and makes slate a completely sustainable, eco-friendly material, unlike other stones or agglomerates that require machinery or ovens, and consequently a high consumption of electricity, to complete the production process. Its particularly appealing aesthetic value added to its high resistance, makes it a timeless and exclusive roofing material, as seen in traditional, centuries-old slate roofs.
